Marilyn Reynolds was featured this past year in chamber music concerts in the Piano by Nature Series at the Hand House in Elizabethtown, the Unitarian Universalist Congregarion of Plattsburgh and many concerts at SUNY Plattsburgh, where she has been on the faculty since 2015. Recitals of Ms. Reynolds’ violin and viola students are held each December and May at the Strand Center for the Arts in Plattsburgh. Students are accompanied by Mr. Andrews and are free and open to the public. They last approximately one hour, after which light refreshments are served. Roger Andrews was last on the soloists’ roster for the Metropolitan Opera in New York in the fall of 2013. He was the cover performer for a role in Der Rosenkavalier. In 2014 he retired from the Met and began working as a stage director and piano accompanist, in the North Country and Montreal. In the spring of 2015 he directed Chazy Music Theatre’s production of Cole Porter’s Can-Can. In August 2015, he acted as music director for Book and Blanket Players’ production of It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman, in Keene Valley. In the spring 2016, he directed Chazy Music Theatre’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. In the spring 2017, he directed a highly successful production of The Pirates of Penzance at McGill University, Montreal. Roger will be stage director for two different Gilbert & Sullivan companies in Montreal, presenting The Mikado and the lesser known Iolanthe this coming spring.
